Niltar Trade Ltd trades as Nilstar® — a hospitality textile concept studio, registered in the United Kingdom, producing from our own studio in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Where We Started
Since 1987, a Textile House. Now, a Concept Studio.
Nilstar® traces its roots to 1987, when the business began as a textile trading house. Over the decades that followed, the work shifted — from moving fabric by the roll to designing it with a specific room, a specific property, in mind.
Today, Niltar Trade Ltd operates Nilstar® as a hospitality textile concept studio. We are registered in the United Kingdom and produce from our own studio in Istanbul, Türkiye — a city with a textile heritage of its own, close to the mills and workshops that give our jacquard development its depth.
We work with hotels, boutique properties, restaurants, cafés, interior designers, architects, upholstery manufacturers, curtain makers and furniture manufacturers who need a textile partner that thinks beyond the swatch card.
How We See It
Fabric Should Be Specified Like an Identity, Not a Line Item.
A hotel or restaurant interior is a single, considered idea — curtains, upholstery, wall fabric and often carpet all speaking the same design language. Too often, textile is the last decision made and the first one to feel disconnected.
We built Nilstar® around the opposite approach: bring the fabric conversation in early, show every collection the way it will actually be experienced, and give architects and designers room to develop something bespoke when an off-the-shelf collection isn’t quite right.
